Born in 1979, Bastian Semm studied acting at the "Hochschule für Musik und Theater" in Leipzig and he was part of the company of the "Theater Basel" in Switzerland. In 2009 he won a newcomer award for embodying Ibsen's PEER GYNT at the "Luisenburg-Festspiele" in Wunsiedel. He played JOHN LENNON in LENNON - FREE AS A BIRD at the "Theater Heidelberg". 2011 he embodied HAMLET at the "Festspiele Bad Hersfeld" and received the "Hersfeldpreis". In sommer 2012 he played ROMEO in ROMEO & JULIA at the "Luisenburg-Festspiele" in Wunsiedel. Since 2013 Bastian Semm plays KLAUS STOERTEBEKER at the "Stoertebeker Festspiele" on the isle of Ruegen.

He went to the US to see Tim O'Connell and played in Nashville where he could meet Johnny Cash's son John Carter Cash.
